What we look for
Coverage is not one rigid formula. We consider the whole garment, how it is styled, and whether the product page gives a customer enough clarity to decide for herself.
- Necklines: We favor covered or easy-to-layer necklines. If a piece works best with a layer, the listing should say so clearly.
- Sleeves: Short, elbow-length, and long sleeves can all work depending on the silhouette, occasion, and overall coverage.
- Hems: Midi, tea-length, and maxi styles are central to this collection. We do not lead this edit with minis or high slits.
- Opacity: We prioritize opaque fabrics. When a garment needs a base layer, lining, or wrap, we explain that plainly.
- Occasionwear: Gowns belong here. We look for formal pieces that feel beautiful, wearable, and appropriately covered—or that can be styled that way with a clearly described layer.
Occasionwear still has a place
Bridal and wedding-guest dressing should not require someone to compromise her personal boundaries. Our Bridal Edit and Modest Mélange make room for floor-length gowns, sleeves, wraps, and layered looks that feel special without becoming restrictive.
